ESS 5023 Tropical Field Studies 3.0 Credits
This is a study abroad course focusing on the ecology of tropical forest ecosystems. We will visit and compare forest ecosystems in several ecological life zones. The course will combine lectures, natural history surveys, faculty-led field research problems, and learning experiences with local residents to explore the biological diversity and function of tropical forests, including the effects of human impacts.
