ET 2420 Engineering Materials Testing and Mechanical Behavior 3.0 Credits
Study of tests used to characterize properties of ceramic, polymeric, and metallic materials and how material properties influence their use and manufacturing. Applications of basic mechanics of materials in twist shaft and beam. Laboratory includes industrial testing procedures and experiments, such as tensile test, stress and strain, hardness test, heat treatment, torsion, and bending.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: (CHEM 1030 [Min Grade: D] or CHEM 101 [Min Grade: D]) and (PHYS 1201 [Min Grade: D] or PHYS 101 [Min Grade: D])
