This course explores influential fashion designers from the 19th century to today, examining how figures such as Worth, Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, McQueen, and others shaped modern style and design innovation. Students explore historical and cultural contexts, analyze key design elements and principles, and develop foundational knowledge through analysis of garments in the Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection.
