FIN 3321 Investment Securities and Markets 3.0 Credits
This course explores the fundamentals of equity investing and the functioning of modern securities markets. Students examine the attributes and economic role of equity securities, the structure and trading mechanisms of equity markets, and the operation of mutual funds and exchange-traded funds as important market players and potential employers. Students also engage in quantitative industry analysis and value individual stocks. Because investment practice is data-driven, students gain hands-on experience with leading global financial data and analytics platforms to evaluate market information.
