FMTV 3316 Cutting Trailers 3.0 Credits
This course focuses on the art and craft of cutting theatrical trailers and promotional content for film and television. Students analyze contemporary and historical trailers to understand structure, pacing, tone, and audience targeting, while examining the marketing strategies that shape these productions. Through hands-on projects, students develop original trailers and promos, learning how editorial choices, sound design, music, and narrative framing work together to sell a story and define a brand.
