GAME 2150 Digital Game History Overview 3.0 Credits
This lecture course explores the history of video games and the game industry from early computer experiments to arcade entertainments to modern digital distribution networks. The course examines the people behind the games and reviews the creative, technical, and economic decisions they made that may still affect the industry today. Students complete selected readings and complete short essays in which they engage with, research, and analyze different types of games from different historic contexts.
