GAME 3850 Tabletop Game Development 3.0 Credits
This course explores the design principles and development of analog tabletop games. Readings will guide the design and creation of tabletop game projects. Students will design, construct, playtest, and pitch their own tabletop games, including board-, card, and dice games, or other similar face-to-face “analog” games. This hands-on course guides students from initial prototypes to refinements to production-ready games. Course topics include tabletop game history, design guidelines, industry standards, tabletop game analysis, rule book writing, and publishing.
