GSST 1001 Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies 3.0 Credits
Introduction to interdisciplinary approaches to gender and sexuality studies. Topics include feminist histories, the emergence of gender and sexuality studies in the academy, intersectionality, activisms, embodiment and performance of difference, and relevant socio-economic and political formations such as work and family. Students learn core principles and methods in the fields of gender and sexuality studies and feminist studies to think critically about race, gender, disability, and sexuality. Suitable for students from across disciplines.
