GSST 1002 Introduction to Feminist Thought 3.0 Credits
This course is an interdisciplinary introduction to feminist theories and methodologies that examines the diverse intellectual traditions that shape feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. It will cover key theoretical perspectives and thinkers and debates to provide students with the core methods necessary for analyzing, researching, and responding to social, cultural, and political institutions of economy, family, government, work, and other domains of life. Students learn to read and think critically, with an emphasis on applied knowledge and research, about what informs and shapes various ideas and practices of our world. Suitable for students from across disciplines.
