HRSC 8300 Foundations of Research in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences 3.0 Credits
The course provides graduate students foundational knowledge of health and rehabilitation sciences research. Contemporary theories, conceptual frameworks, and models for health and rehabilitation research are appraised. Students discuss how these theories are tied to development of research questions in line with the mission, goals and research priorities of funding sources. Students learn about research processes including scientific integrity, identification of a research question, literature searching, developing the components of a research proposal and obtaining support for research, and dissemination of research findings.
