HSAD 2210 Health Care Ethics 3.0 Credits
This course examines ethical issues faced by patients, clinicians, and caregivers, including access to care, cultural perspectives on death, refusal of treatment, confidentiality, medical errors, and conflict resolution. Using a practical, interdisciplinary approach integrating philosophy, law, social sciences, and health sciences, the discussion-based format fosters respectful dialogue, active listening, and analysis of controversial issues. Through assignments and discussions, students practice ethical decision-making, conflict resolution, and teamwork relevant to clinical and managerial settings.
