HSAD 3335 Healthcare Policy and Law 3.0 Credits

This course explores the philosophical and structural foundations of the U.S. political system and the development of healthcare policies and laws. Students examine the historical evolution of health policy, the roles of federal, state, and local governments, and the influence of political, economic, legal, and social factors on policy formation. Key legislation and regulatory frameworks shaping healthcare delivery are covered. Through applied readings and analysis, students develop critical thinking, understand stakeholder perspectives, and engage in advocacy to improve healthcare access, quality, and cost.
