HSAD 3345 Ethics in Health Care Management 3.0 Credits
This course explores the ethical dimensions of healthcare management, providing an interdisciplinary foundation to address issues encountered in healthcare, public health, and research. Topics include duty and responsibility, leadership, professionalism, justice, organizational and clinical ethics, research ethics, technology, resource allocation, conflicts of interest, and responsibilities to staff and the community. Through case discussions, students develop teamwork, respectful dialogue, and conflict resolution skills. The course culminates in interviewing a local health administrator about an ethical challenge they faced.
