HSCI 4035 Neuroscience 3.0 Credits
This course provides an integrated study of the structure and function of the human nervous system with an emphasis on clinically relevant neuroanatomy. Students will examine the gross anatomy of the central nervous system, including the cerebral hemispheres, brainstem, spinal cord, and spinal nerves, as well as the organization of major neural pathways and reflexes. The course explores cerebrospinal fluid circulation, cranial nerve function, and the neuroanatomy of key structures such as the cerebellum, basal ganglia, and telencephalon. Through the application of clinical cases, students will learn to interpret neurological signs and symptoms and relate them to specific lesions within the nervous system.
