HSCI 4059 Topics in Contemporary Health Sciences Research 3.0 Credits
This advanced undergraduate seminar explores contemporary research in the health sciences. Each semester, a different faculty member leads the course, designing content around their scholarly expertise and offering students direct engagement with current research and active inquiry. Through critical reading of scientific literature, guided discussion, and reflection, students deepen their understanding of research methods, emerging discoveries, and the impact of scientific advancement. The course emphasizes critical appraisal, scholarly communication, and evidence-based reasoning as students examine how research shapes clinical practice and future directions in the field.
