IHS 515S Perspectives in Patient-Centered Care 2.0 Credits
This Course introduces students to patient-centered perspectives by exploring beliefs and practices that shape healthcare experiences. Compassionate healthcare professionals play a vital role in reducing disparities by delivering fair and respectful care. Students will learn strategies to engage and support varied populations through self-reflection and critical thinking. This course will examine current initiatives that examine collaboration and fairness alongside practical applications of cross-community skills. Through individual and group assignments, students will strengthen their understanding of respectful and responsive care. Each session will feature a lecture, interactive activities, and meaningful dialogue.
