IHS 519S Drug Chemistry 2.0 Credits
The course reviews the chemistry, biology and pharmacodynamics principles associated with drug chemistry, with emphasis upon the drug chemistry of alcohols, illicit drugs and selected prescription/over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Separation techniques, means of drug identification and qualitative vs. confirmatory quantitative analytical procedures are discussed.
