INTR 3102 Interior Studio II 4.0 Credits
This course introduces experience as a key organizational tool used to aid in the design of interior environments. It situates design decisions in relation to the materials, forms, and atmospheric qualities that shape occupiable space. Students investigate the activation of space and how space supports human need, programmatic requirements, stylistic quality, and elaboration in the selection and application of furniture finishes and accessories. Project work builds awareness of process and emphasizes iteration, diagramming / model making, and clear graphic and verbal communication through drawings, models, pin-ups, critique, and professionally juried presentations.
