INTR 5201 Representation I 3.0 Credits

This course provides an advanced investigation into the representation tools, media, and methodologies used to analyze and communicate interior spatial conditions across multiple drawing types. Students engage with both digital and hand-rendered techniques, applying industry-standard conventions to construct precise and conceptually informed representations of occupiable space through orthographic, isometric, and perspective projection. Emphasis is placed on the critical use of drawing as a design instrument and frames and substantiates conceptual, technical, and experiential arguments. The course develops students' rendering and post-production competencies, positioning visual representation as a form of evidence-based justification for design decisions and strategic component of professional communication.
