INTR 6401 Interior Design Theory and Practice 3.0 Credits

This graduate-level course examines the relationship between interior environments and human experience through the lenses of perception, behavior, identity, cultural meaning, and material expression. Students engage key theories of interior design, environmental psychology, and spatial practice, and consider how values, worldviews, and social conditions shape designed environments. Through readings, discussions, site observations, and design responses, students learn to analyze how interiors influence well-being, interaction, performance, and belonging.
