INTR 7998 Interior Thesis I 3.0 Credits
This graduate-level course guides students through the process of identifying and investigating an aspect of interior design. Emphasis is placed on advanced research methods, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, literature review, precedent and case study evaluation, stakeholder and user research, and interpretation of regulatory and contextual constraints. Through structured inquiry and mentorship, students build the specialized and foundational knowledge needed to develop an evidence-based design solution. The course culminates with a comprehensive written proposal defining the student’s chosen topic, research and analysis, site selection, and project programming.
