IS 2500 Applied Systems Analysis 3.0 Credits
Studies of the principles, practices, methods, and tools of systems analysis, with an emphasis on how people and technology shape one another in organizational settings. Students learn pragmatic techniques for identifying information problems, analyzing value and root causes, and translating stakeholder and business needs into system requirements and constraints. The course covers user stories, process models, and data-flow diagrams as methods for modeling business problems and structuring work and decision-making. Introduces object-oriented modeling and reasoning.
