IS 3412 Cloud Computing and Scalable Processing 3.0 Credits
This course introduces cloud deployment and scaling of data processing and analytics workloads. Covers principles of scalable data analysis in both on-premises and cloud-based computing environments; distributed and streaming data processing; cloud-native data storage, processing, and analytics; data storage paradigms; and large-scale data storage. Hands-on assignments and instruction provide both experience with distributed and cloud-based data science technologies and comparative discussions to support evaluating different scalable data technologies for a particular organization and workload.
