IS 7730 Generative AI Agents and Application Design 3.0 Credits

This course provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding how large language model (LLM) applications and AI agents work — from design to deployment. Students will explore the core components of modern Generative AI systems, including models, tools, orchestration, memory, and evaluation. Through hands-on projects and critical analysis, learners will gain practical experience in building, integrating, and assessing AI-powered applications. The course emphasizes building agentic AI workflows and applications based on ethical principles and evaluating them. It will prepare students to design, build, and evaluate agentic personalized AI that can operate effectively in diverse contexts.
