IS 8713 Quantitative Research Methods 3.0 Credits
This course introduces students to the principles and practices of quantitative research methods used in information science, social science, and data-driven fields. Emphasis is placed on understanding how to design robust experiments, measure complex constructs, and apply appropriate statistical techniques for drawing valid causal inferences. Students will learn to critically evaluate quantitative studies, develop their own empirical designs, and apply methods suited to diverse types of data, including social networks and language data.
