LLS 7002 Science of Reading and Application to Identification and Implementation of Structured Literacy Model 3.0 Credits

This course orients leaders to the scientific, systemic, and leadership principles that underpin effective structured literacy implementation at scale. It frames literacy improvement as a systems level leadership challenge, not just a classroom one. Using a precise common knowledge and a common professional language, leaders will explore the most current research-based models of systems change, the science of reading (SoR), and leadership models to transform literacy outcomes across all grade levels in their organization. The course provides the foundation for implementation and a deeper knowledge of how to align systems to the most current knowledge of literacy science. The course provides a summary of leadership models applied to systems-change, and theories and models of systems.
