LLS 7003 Implementing and Scaling Evidence-Based Literacy Systems 3.0 Credits

This course prepares leaders to design, implement, improve, scale, and sustain Science of Reading (SOR) and Structured Literacy (SL) initiatives in K–12 systems. Drawing on Implementation Science and related disciplines, leaders learn to bridge research and practice by developing (and using) implementation plans that function effectively in real school contexts. Emphasis is placed on aligning system components, ensuring fidelity of both practice and implementation, and leveraging data for continuous improvement to real district/school literacy challenges. Upon completion, leaders will have an actionable strategy to assess current systems, identify strengths and gaps, and build the capacity of staff and teams to support sustained and equitable improvement in literacy outcomes.
