LSTU 5002 Legal Foundations II 3.0 Credits
This course builds on the foundational knowledge and skills developed in Legal Foundations by guiding students deeper into legal reasoning, research, and communication. The course strengthens students’ ability to find, interpret, and apply legal authority across multiple areas of U.S. law while introducing advanced analytical tasks. Through exposure to doctrinal materials, case law, statutes, and research tools, students expand their understanding of how legal rules operate in real-world contexts. Emphasis is placed on professional writing, structured analysis, and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences. The course concludes by exploring how legal technology is reshaping research, compliance, and legal operations.
