LSTU 5556 Legal Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence 3.0 Credits
Legal Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence prepares students for compliance-focused roles addressing legal risks created by AI and autonomous systems. The course examines risk management, data privacy, intellectual property, tort liability, and emerging regulatory frameworks, including issues of algorithmic bias and regulatory enforcement. Through case studies and a semester-long project developing AI compliance policies and tools, students build AI literacy, assess organizational risk, and advise stakeholders on responsible AI use. The course equips future compliance professionals to implement effective AI governance strategies.
