MATH 6401 Linear Algebra I 3.0 Credits
Course topics include the QR decomposition, Schur's triangularization theorem, the spectral decomposition for normal matrices, the Jordan canonical form, the Courant-Fisher theorem, singular value and polar decompositions, norms and dual norms, the Gersgorin disc theorem, the Perron-Frobenius theorem, and other current matrix analysis topics. Applications of the material are outlined as well.
