MCAN 521S Advanced Molecular Mechanisms of Cancer 2.0 Credits

The main goal of this advanced course is to provide an in-depth understanding of various topics in current cancer biology research. This course has been designed to expose students to the advanced concepts of cancer biology and the latest conceptual, technical and therapeutic discoveries. Students will become familiar with topics related to cancer biology, including cancer stem cells, cancer metabolism and cancer microenvironment, as well as with the basic cancer bioinformatics tools. The course is structured around a combination of lectures, readings, individual exercises, and small group exercises in a problem-oriented fashion.
