MCAN 554S Current Topics in Cell Biology 2.0 Credits

The main goal of this advanced course is to provide a comprehensive analysis of various topics in cell biology. This course has been designed to introduce students to the advanced concepts of cell biology. The scope of this course includes but not limited to: signaling, DNA repair, innate immunity, RNA processing, aging, and apoptosis. This course is based on historical and current research results and incorporates historical and recent conceptual breakthroughs and methods in the field of cell biology. The course is structured around a combination of lectures, readings, individual exercises and small group exercises in a problem-oriented fashion.
