MCAN 560S Practicum in Molecular Basis of Cancer 3.0 Credits
This course will enable students to conduct research in their specific field of interest related to molecular basis of cancer. It consists of an independent project that the student wish to pursue in their career and is under the supervision of an expert in the field outside of Drexel University College of Medicine. Students can choose benchwork, literature-based research, or development of new technical advances in their specific fields of interest.

In order to graduate, all students must pass three writing-intensive courses after their freshman year. Two writing-intensive courses must be in a student's major. The third can be in any discipline. Students are advised to take one writing-intensive class each year, beginning with the sophomore year, and to avoid “clustering” these courses near the end of their matriculation. Transfer students need to meet with an academic advisor to review the number of writing-intensive courses required to graduate.
