MEM 4650 Energy, Environment, and Engineering Systems 3.0 Credits

This course examines the interaction between energy systems, the environment, and engineering design from a systems perspective. Students apply fundamental mechanical engineering principles to analyze energy production and use, evaluate engineering solutions for efficiency and resource management, and design resilient systems under technical, economic, and environmental constraints. Topics include energy technologies, life-cycle considerations, and systems-level decision making relevant to contemporary engineering practice.
