MEM 4998 Capstone Design I 3.0 Credits
Capstone Design I is the first course in a two-course senior design sequence in which students apply engineering principles to the analysis and design of an open-ended engineering problem. Student teams identify stakeholder needs, define requirements and constraints, generate and evaluate design concepts, and develop a proposed solution using appropriate analytical, computational, and experimental methods. Emphasis is placed on project planning, engineering communication, teamwork, and consideration of economic, environmental, ethical, and societal factors.
