MEM 7584 Mechanics of Biological Tissues 3.0 Credits
This course introduces the mechanical behavior of major biological tissues with emphasis on structure-function relationships. Topics include the composition and structure of tendons, ligaments, skin, and bone; bone mechanics and applications in orthopedics; viscoelasticity of soft biological tissues; models of soft tissue mechanics; mechanics of skeletal muscle; and muscle models and their engineering and biomedical applications.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
