MIP 331 Live Music II 3.0 Credits

This course will cover the various business aspects of producing and promoting a successful concert. The class will place emphases and cover in great detail: the promoter’s ability to purchase talent and a produce show, taking into consideration such matters as competition, population, guarantees and percentage splits, ticket pricing and distribution, advertising budgets, production costs, sponsorships, rental agreements, labor, security, concessions, tour packages, and promoter-owned venues; routing, itineraries, riders, offers, contracts, sub-contractors, show personnel, merchandising, sponsorships, day-of-show and show settlements.
