MIP 132 Survey of the Music Industry 3.0 Credits
This course provides students with an overview of the music industry. The following topics will be addressed: major music industry players (e.g. managers, agents, business managers, promoters), record label operations & functions (e.g. recording deals, royalties, the album cycle), Songwriting/Publishing, Live Music/Touring, & Merchandising.
