MIP 3140 Community Recording 3.0 Credits
This course applies recording engineering skills in community settings through service-learning projects with local artists and organizations. Students gain experience in project management, client communication, and professional recording practices while providing recording services to community members. Through mentored recording projects, students develop interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and ethical practices while building portfolios of diverse recording work. The course emphasizes civic engagement, professional responsibility, and inclusive practices in audio engineering.
