MIP 3210 Advanced Audio for Media 3.0 Credits
This studio course explores advanced post-production audio techniques for visual media including film, television, web content, and immersive formats. Students develop skills in dialogue editing, sound effects design, Foley recording, ambience creation, and audio mixing for picture. Topics include workflow integration, synchronization techniques, spatial audio for immersive media, technical standards for various delivery platforms, and collaborative processes with directors and editors. Through hands-on projects spanning multiple media formats, students demonstrate technical proficiency while developing creative approaches to sonic storytelling that enhance narrative impact and viewer experience across contemporary distribution channels.
