MIP 4998 Music Industry Capstone I 3.0 Credits
This course initiates a comprehensive senior project demonstrating integrated music industry knowledge and skills. Students develop original work addressing authentic industry needs or opportunities, whether production-based, entrepreneurial, research-focused, or technology-driven. Emphasis is placed on conceptualization, research methodology, resource planning, and timeline development. Through proposal presentations and peer critique, students refine their scope under faculty guidance while synthesizing technical, creative, and business competencies acquired throughout their program. Deliverables include written proposals, literature reviews, and preliminary work establishing feasibility. Students develop professional presentation skills essential for industry success.
