MIS 3454 Management Information Systems Security 3.0 Credits
The confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information are essential for contemporary business functioning. This course introduces students to the theories and practices that managers use to keep management information systems secure. Students learn the fundamental security and privacy concepts that are needed in the creation of management information systems and/or in recurring information systems security tasks for a firm. In addition to the technological concepts that are essential for managing the security of information systems, students in the course learn about relevant perspectives on legal, governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
