MIS 3470 Enterprise Cloud Systems Management 3.0 Credits
This course prepares students to architect and manage enterprise cloud infrastructures as organizations migrate to cloud platforms. Students gain hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms while mastering technical skills and business strategy essential for digital transformation. Topics include multi-tier application deployment, containerization, serverless architectures, infrastructure as code, cost optimization, and cloud financial operations (FinOps). The course covers migration strategies, hybrid architectures, compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, security, and identity management. Through exercises and case studies, students develop technical and business acumen to implement secure, scalable solutions, manage vendor relationships, optimize ROI, and pursue certifications.
