MIS 6100 Systems Analysis and Design 3.0 Credits
Good knowledge of techniques for systems analysis and design is essential for effective and efficient development of information systems. In this course, student learn the concepts of the information systems development life cycle and the processes and tools for analyzing user information requirements, such as systems thinking, design thinking, data dictionary, flow diagrams, E-R diagrams, structure charts, rapid application development (agile methods), and user interface design. The course also surveys other important skills for the systems analyst such as cost-benefit analysis, communications, outsourcing, design thinking, and project management.
