MIS 6300 Data Management and Infrastructure 3.0 Credits

This course provides the practical data management skills that data analysts use daily to query and manipulate enterprise-scale data efficiently. The focus is not on database design theory but on direct, hands-on application. Students will master advanced SQL, moving beyond simple retrieval to write complex, optimized queries using window functions, common table expressions (CTEs), and advanced joins. The core objective is to gain proficiency with modern cloud data platforms. Students will work directly with large-scale data warehouse solutions, learning to navigate, extract, and manipulate the precise data required from complex corporate data infrastructures.
