MSE 4002 Characterization Lab - Nanoscale to Macroscale 3.0 Credits

This course introduces students to experimental techniques for analysis of structure, composition and properties of materials. Students gain hands-on experience using a range of techniques such as mechanical property testing, scattering and imaging approaches for structural characterization, and spectroscopic approaches to measure composition and functional material responses. The course reinforces concepts of data collection and provides students with training in technical writing.
