MSPP 525S Community Dimensions of Medicine 2.0 Credits
This course is the first part of the Community Dimensions of Medicine course series. It is designed to introduce students to the community dimensions of medicine to provide skills and insight to expand awareness of community as students move towards a career in healthcare. This course integrates key principles of health, social determinants of health, and healthcare inequities with volunteer experiences at local health services and related sites. Students will be challenged to reflect on individual, societal, and institutional factors that contribute to their own health as well as the health of their surrounding community.
