MUSC 1006 Music Ensemble: Pep Band 0-1 Credits

Pep Band is a non-auditioned, spirited ensemble that supports Athletics and university events, performing primarily at home basketball games and occasionally at tournaments. Open to brass, woodwinds, percussion, and other instrumentalists, the band welcomes all who wish to be part of this musical team.

The Music Performance minor is designed for students whose primary musical study at Drexel involves performing in music ensembles. Most credits are earned through participation in ensembles, which may be repeated for credit. Additionally, students complete 2–4 credits from practice/making courses and 3 credits in history/culture. Performance teaches valuable skills such as collaboration, cross-cultural communication, team building, and the understanding that individual abilities contribute to a greater whole. Other required courses promote critical thinking and cultural understanding. These skills complement any student’s major and career aspirations.
