NUAN 805 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Practicum VI 3.0 Credits

This is the sixth of seven nurse anesthesia clinical practicum courses. In Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Practicum VI, students integrate scientific principles and best evidence to deliver safe, culturally competent perianesthesia care across the lifespan. Utilizing interprofessional communication, increasing critical thinking and decision-making skills, students provide care to a variety of patients undergoing more complex elective or emergency surgical procedures. Specialty rotations foster the development of knowledge and competencies to administer regional anesthesia, insert invasive pressure monitoring catheters, provide advanced airway management and safely deliver anesthesia for the obstetrical, pediatric, neurosurgical or cardiac patient.
