NUAN 812 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Residency I 3.0 Credits

In clinical residency I, the nurse anesthesia resident is challenged to perform at autonomous levels and integrate the best evidence to deliver safe, vigilant, culturally competent perianesthesia care across the lifespan. The nurse anesthesia resident develops, implements, and evaluates anesthesia care for all patient populations as expectations for independent decision-making and refined psychometric and organizational skills are emphasized. Specialty rotations foster the development of knowledge and competencies to administer regional anesthesia, insert invasive monitoring catheters, manage challenging perianesthesia events, provide advanced airway management and safely deliver anesthesia for these patient populations This course is complemented by advanced simulation and peer-peer mentoring.
